Our success is attributable to our people. We strive to attract, retain and grow a competent team of dedicated, creative individuals.
Training and Development

The Manline Training Centre opened in March 2009 with 20 learners registering for the internationally recognised Professional Driver Qualification. This 12 month learnership programme is fully accredited by TETA, who oversee training in the South African transport industry. The aim of the learnership is to train unemployed people to become professional ultra-heavy truck drivers. The goal is to train 50 drivers per year who will be deployed to our growing fleet.

All new Manline drivers complete our unique three week Professional Driver Induction and Training programme, giving management the opportunity to formulate and analyse each driver's risk profile and driving pattern. Through this process, weaknesses are identified and corrected before the driver takes to the road. It also ensures that all drivers are familiar with Manline's procedures, documentation and customer expectations.

All Manline drivers complete a one week annual refresher training programme. The programme focuses on defensive driving techniques and other advanced driver training modules that demonstrate our vision to be the employer of choice in the Southern African logistics industry.

Training and Development Training and Development

All Manline employees attend a minimum of one company funded training programme a year. These include university degrees, diplomas, management courses and subject matter specific training programmes and courses. Over 80% of our training is carried out in our Training Centre by internal and external subject matter experts. We anticipate that over 500 employees will attend a formal training programme in our Training Centre during the financial year ending March 2012.
